NBA Stars who are taking home highest salaries this season: Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, LeBron James and more

Leading the pack, Stephen Curry earns $55 million, making him the highest-paid player this season, followed by Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid at $51 million each. When it comes to the earnings of the NBA players, they have been skyrocketing due to an economic boom in the sport that has lasted for over a decade. Their viewership spans all five continents and as a result, the salaries paid to NBA Athletes have reached all-time heights. We are looking at the star taking the highest fee back home this season.

NBA Players earning the highest salary this season


Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors ranks the highest on the list earning a staggering $55 million this season. He was also the first NBA player to cross the $50 million milestone during the 2023-2024 season. Thus he also ranks on the Forbes list of the top ten World’s Highest Paid Athletes. It has also been announced that for the 2025-2026 season, he will be earning $59 million and for the 2026-2027 season, he will be earning $62 million.
Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic ranks second on the list as he takes home $51 million for the season. He is joined by Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers who also takes home the same amount. The duo will earn $55 million for the 2025-2026 season and $59 million for the 2026-2027 season.

There are only five athletes who are taking home more than $50 million. The list includes Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. Other than that other stars have made their mark in NBA and feature in the top 20. Most prominently, LeBron James ranks 14th on the list even at the age of 40. This feat makes him one of the highest-paid athletes in history in the age bracket.

Five players who earn $49 million grabbed the sixth-highest earning spot, they include Jaylen Brown, Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. These players made it to the top ten highest earnings this season. Making it to the top 20 with a staggering $48 million are Jimmy Butler, Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and LeBron James. This is followed by Zach LaVine in the 15th spot with $44 million and Rudy Gobert in the 16th spot with $43 million. Anthony Davis, Trae Young and Luka Doncic also made it to the top 20 with a staggering $43 million. Fred VanVleet ranks in the 20th spot with $42 million.
