Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will take the grid at the Miami Grand Prix in a new look that represents a clean break from the tradition of Ferrari. The Italian team, which is traditionally synonymous with its red, will be sporting a dramatic white-and-blue colour scheme, part of a new visual direction revealed ahead of this weekend's event. The design change is part of Ferrari’s collaboration with tech giant HP and signals a modern twist to the team’s rich Formula 1 legacy.
Ferrari drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc to wear blue-and-white in Miami
Ferrari’s signature scarlet has long defined the team’s presence in Formula 1, but at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, fans will see a bold departure. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton and team-mate Charles Leclerc will take to the grid in white and blue racing suits, while their cars will feature matching accents on the wings and wheels.
The change is not just cosmetic. It comes as part of Ferrari’s growing partnership with HP, which was signed last year. While the chassis remains unmistakably red, the additional hues reflect a blend of innovation and heritage.

This isn’t the first time Ferrari has experimented with blue tones at the Miami International Autodrome. In 2024, the team honored the 70th anniversary of its entry into the American market by adopting a light blue scheme. Charles Leclerc and then-driver Carlos Sainz donned suits inspired by Azzurro La Plata—once famously worn by Ferrari’s first Formula One world champion, Alberto Ascari, in the 1950s.
Lewis Hamilton eyes reset in Miami after tough start with Ferrari
Lewis Hamilton's maiden year at Ferrari has been tough till date. The best that British driver could manage is a fifth place, whereas Charles Leclerc registered a podium in Saudi Arabia. Nevertheless, Ferrari is still hopeful. For Lewis Hamilton, who’s still finding his rhythm in his first season with Scuderia Ferrari, the updated aesthetic could signal a fresh start on American soil.
Team principal Frederic Vasseur has come out to assure that Hamilton enjoys the full support of the team. Last month, Vasseur brushed aside the criticism over the team's inconsistencies in performance, labelling it as overblown. “You have ups and downs,” he said, “When we have an up, we are not world champions. When we are down, we are not nowhere.”
