Becky Lynch Addresses Future in Wrestling Amidst Prolonged WWE Hiatus

Becky Lynch has spoken about her future in wrestling, but she has not returned to WWE since last May.
Becky Lynch is undoubtedly one of the top-tier WWE superstars of all time. The WWE Universe has seen The Man create a lot of history over the years and emerge as a true trailblazer in the business. But every top performer has to hang up their boots at one point in time.
Lynch has been a part of WWE for over a decade and has been wrestling for a long time. As the WWE Universe continues to await her return, The Man came around to speak about her long-term future.
During a recent appearance on the Getting Over podcast, Becky Lynch was asked regarding her time left as an in-ring performer. Moreover, Lynch was also asked if she would return for short tenures after the end of her full-time run as a wrestler. The Man claimed that wrestling has always been an important part of her life.
She even credited the wrestling business for giving her a lot of things like name, recognition and most importantly her family, citing her marriage to fellow WWE superstar Seth Rollins. But in the end, Becky stated that she was not sure what the future in the business looked like for her.
“I’m not trying to be vague or cagey in any way, but I feel like I have a great mind for wrestling, a great love for it, and it’s always going to be a part of me. It’s in my heart, it’s in my head, and it’s the reason I have my family. So, it’s incredibly important to me—I just don’t know what that looks like in the future."
Lynch also added that at times plans don't work out like people expect and the future might also have some other opportunities for her that could be better than what she would expect.
"Life has surprised me in wonderful ways recently. You can make all these plans, but sometimes things don’t go the way you intended. In the long run, though, something else works out—something even better than you expected. And honestly, I feel like that’s been the story of my entire career.”

Becky Lynch has not appeared in WWE television programming since May 2024. She last wrestled against Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage match in a losing effort. The Man has reportedly signed a new WWE contract but has yet to return to TV. With the road to WrestleMania 41 underway, it remains to be seen if she will be a part of The Show of Shows this year.
